Our Work
Hagar’s voice exists to strategically support survivors of clergy sexual abuse & advocate to move the needle against abuse in religious spaces.
Advocacy
We provide strategic support for survivors through personal partnership - listening in solidarity to their story and needs, and then working to connect them with the resources that will best support them through the journey or strategize on how they can raise their voice.
Activism
We also work to make inroads into the public conversation—raising awareness, educating, and sharing the stories of survivors so that abuse can be prevented, and religious environments can better respond to abuse discovered in their midst.
It is our dream to stem the tide of abuse in religious spaces and to shape the narrative about survivors into one of gratitude for the gift they are giving us with the light they bring into the dark places where abuse hides even in religious spaces.
